The Cape of Accomplishment can also get your skill cap to 100, but there are no real benefits in doing so. On top of all of those benefits, doing some of your training at the Nightmare Zone will allow you to imbue some of your Rings and other items. Every skill in OSRS can get up to level 99, or at some cases boosted even further with special potions or prayers. Wearing full Dharok at the Nightmare Zone, and lowering your Hitpoints to 1 using the Locator Orb or the Dwarven Rock Cake, is another very common and fast way to train your combat. Pairing that power-up with special Attack items like the Granite Maul, or the Dragon Claws, it is possible to get well over 100 000 XP per hour. In order to get the fastest Melee Combat XP at the Nightmare Zone, you need to look out for the Power Surge Power-up. Combat is arguably the largest part of Runescape with players able to fight against monsters ranging from the humble chicken right up to the mighty Kalphite. For each piece of armour, there is a counterpart made for each other type of metal. There is a 'default' (regular) series of armour, consisting of bronze, iron, steel, black/white, mithril, adamant, rune, and dragon (in ascending order of the quality of the armour). The Herb boxes can be done for profit over time, and the Nightmare Zone is something that can be done very AFK as well. Ancient Awakening is a medium-length quest which should take approximately one hour to complete. Melee armour, used in the Attack, Strength, and Defence skills, is generally made out of some kind of metal. The thing about the Nightmare Zone is that you have access to overloads and Absorption potions, which negates the cost of super combat potions, boosts your stats more, and you also don’t need Prayer potions due to the adsorptions. Otherwise, the XP rates are not worth your time. ![]() I also recommend having at least around level 60 combat before you take part in the Nightmare Zone. To partake in the Nightmare Zone, you need at least 5 of the Quests completed that have Bosses. This is a good foundation and a great start to your Old School Runescape story.
